Community & Consumer Comments

Cody Kennedy

Today, I was able to meet with Katherine, and the CFI Chief Executive Officer, David Nelson. We spent about an hour talking about the needs that CFI is meeting in our community. I would love to share it all with you but truly, the scope of the advocacy they provide is well beyond what I can describe here. But I do want to provide one great example of how they can help. As we were doing a tour of their great building, seeing all of the other community non-profits that they provide low-cost office space to, we came to an area within CFI that had various equipment for people with vision impairment to try out, so they could see what works best for them. This spurred a conversation about an employee of a large company that I have done a lot of business with through my rental property business. This great employee always does a fantastic job for me but utilizes his iPhone as a magnifier when processing paperwork. This is a good example of how there are fantastic programs in our community that just need to have the community learn about them so they can make an even greater impact!
