New Horizon Vocational Center

NHVC Program Hours: Monday & Tuesday, 10:00 AM ~ 3:00 PM

New Horizon Vocational Center is a training program for people of all ages, all disabilities, held at Center for Independence.  It is foremost a community of people who work together toward a common goal of gaining work skills.

CFI is working with a Department of Vocational Rehabilitation grant to provide services in:

  • Computer Skills
  • Janitorial Services
  • Restaurant services such as menu planning, budgeting, shopping, cooking, serving, safe food handling, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Resume writing, application completion, and interviewing skills
  • Community volunteering
  • Enterprising
  • Fundrasing
  • Outreach
  • Transit training
  • Recreation

LUNCH SERVED AT NOON to all who wish to come THESE TWO DAYS for a nominal fee—call for reservation by 10AM the day you wish to join us.
