Independent Living Programs & Services

The Center for Independence offers a variety of programs and services to assist people with disabilities live more independently. All of our services are free (some of the recreation programs have a small fee associated) and available to people with disabilities. Please contact us to set up an appointment.

Computers: Assistive Technology Resource Center (ATRC)

We offer specialized computer software and hardware training in our computer lab or in your home for a variety of skill levels. We also offer training and demonstration of low vision equipment in our Assistive Technology lab. Find out more...

Housing & Direct Services for Independent Living Program

We offer housing location assistance, nursing home transition, case management, benefit advocacy and application assistance. We also help with disability hearings, medical advocacy, grant assistance, durable medical equipment, daily living skills training, support group classes, information and referrals. Find out more...

Rurally Located? We have Outreach Services

In CFI’s service territory, we attend human service council meetings, provide in-home services, demonstrate assistive technology, perform benefits counseling and home safety assessments. We also have a satellite offices located in Montrose, Rifle and Glenwood Springs. Find out more...
